Wildlings @ Woodlane nature reserve - Summer special
29 May 2018, 10:30 - 12:00 (Add to calendar)
Brand new for 2018, Wildlings is an exciting new series of FUN outdoor education sessions for 0 -5 years, being held at four locations across Shropshire during the holidays. These sessions are run at the same as our our older children events, so split age siblings can also attend.
Give your kiddos a chance to experience fire, get mucky and play independently in a safe enjoyable environment. Each session will have a theme but its main focus is to allow children to explore and play with various activities at their own leisure and pace. We will have song time and children can come and have go around the fire each time if they wish, Lots of fun things for them to explore and touch and play.
These sessions are specifically designed to meet babies/toddlers' interest in the outside world and encourage healthy development.
Evidence has shown that free play in outdoor green spaces for very young children improves their ability to deal with stress and focus attention as well as improving social skills.
Wildlings sessions will give children, aged from six months to five years old, the chance to play and explore nature in the centre’s outdoor classroom, uninterrupted by adults, although grown-ups will need to stay and watch their little ones
